Back in 2019, we had 320 students sign a lease with lakeside commons ready to take on college in their first-ever off-campus luxury apartment. They were ready for an experience of a lifetime. They were ready to create new friendships and be a part of a community like no other.
In March 2020, COVID-19 hit us. The world went remote, we lost touch with human interaction and emotion. The amazing experiences these 320 students waited their whole lives for just vanished before their eyes. Some of you went home to your families struggling financially, mentally, and even health-wise. Some of you stayed with us, you were patient, and helped us get through the rough as a family.
We appreciate each and every one of our 320 students who stood by our side throughout this tough time. Lakeside is overjoyed to say that we came out stronger than ever. Our community is stronger, our staff is stronger, our goals are bigger.
Rolling into the new school year of 2021, we are excited to announce all of our amenities are back open! Oswego’s most popular student housing is flourishing! The fitness center is fully equipped and 24/7, the Genius Lab is ready for SUNY Oswego’s brightest students, our downtown shuttle is coming back! The community is coming together and we can not wait for the return. We are making huge moves this summer and we can not wait for the wildest ride of 2021-2022 with all of our Lakers.
